First Lady Doris Carney is a woman who wants to please God no matter the cost. Her roles in life include being a faithful and dedicated wife to Bishop S. L. Carney, a mother to three children, grandmother, great-grandmother and first lady to the Deliverance Church Family. She and Bishop Carney have been married for over 40 years, and have served together in ministry for nearly four decades.

Ministry is important in her life.  To her credit is being co-founder of Deliverance Church in which she also named the church "Deliverance". She has served in numerous roles including being head of the missionaries, praise & worship team, and the women's ministry.  Her work has even extended to sexton where she humbly cleans God's house.

Bishop Carney ordained First Lady as minister on the first Sunday in December 2003. Since that time, she has attended and taught numerous seminars and workshops . Her ministry has even extended to other parts of the world such as South America where she ministered to over 4,000 people.

First Lady has a heart for the people.  One of her passions is serving as head of the largest food pantry in Harnett County, where over 1500 people are served monthly. Individuals served are not only provided natural food, but also given the unadulterated word of GOD!

First Lady Carney is an awesome woman of God who has a mind to do God's Will. She is indeed a blessed and anointed woman of God and a treasure to Deliverance Church International!
