First Lady Doris Carney is a woman who wants to please God no matter what it takes. She is a faithful and dedicated wife to Bishop S. L. Carney and to the Deliverance Church Family. She has been married to the same man (Bishop S. L. Carney) for 40 years. They have been blessed with three adult children, twelve grandchildren and one great-grand child.

She has been working diligently and faithfully by Bishop's side for more than 30 years in the ministry. She is co-founder of Deliverance Church and she also named the church "Deliverance".

Bishop Carney ordained First Lady as minister on the first Sunday in December 2003. Her work in the ministry includes Chairperson for the Junior Missionary Department, leader of the Praise and Worship Team and head of the Women's Department. She has attended and taught numerous seminars and workshops throughout her years in ministry. The ministry has allowed her to travel to South America where she ministered to over 4,000 people. She also heads the largest food pantry in Harnett County, where she serves over 1500 people monthly. Not only does she make provision for those in need of natural food, she also gives them the unadulterated word of GOD! She can also be found cleaning the house of God on any given day.

First Lady Carney is an awesome woman of God, with a mind to do God's Will. She loves to serve and minister to God's people. She is a woman who really loves the Lord and is faithful to the call God has given her. She is indeed a blessed and anointed woman of God!
